2009 Raffle Tractor

The Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association Inc. will be raffling a tractor, donated by Steiner Tractor Parts and restored by Don Hart. The 2009 raffle tractor is a Farmall Super ‘C’ with fasthitch.

Tickets will be available at the 5th Annual Steiner Tractor Parts Customer Appreciation Days on Saturday June 20th. Along with a chance to check out the tractor.

Gera Old Tractor Days This Weekend

The Gera Old Tractor Association invites you to attend their annual show June 13^th and 14th. Gera is about an hour drive from Lennon, near Frankenmuth and Reese . The show will take place at Reinbold’s Sales and Service at the intersection of M-46 and M-83. Admission is $3.00 and parking is free. There will be lots of tractors on display. Tractor Pulls are taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Tractor Pulls for Antique Tractors will be held on Sunday. A Dyno will be on site for the participants to measure their horsepower.

Kiddies' pedal pull will take place throughout the 2 day event. They also will offer Pony rides. Also, the club has a very unique tractor pulled “train” to entertain children and adults alike. Demonstrations of corn-husking are also planned for Sunday only.

The club will be serving Bean Soup, bratwurst, and hotdogs. They will have Pepsi products available for sale as well.

This is a great time to visit the area as it is also Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival weekend. You can take in the sights and sounds of Frankenmuth and head out to the country to enjoy an old time tractor show.

Also, if you are in the area for the Bavarian Festival, feel free to stop by the show grounds on Friday evening at about 7pm. An auction will be held with many farm related items being auctioned in addition to donated items by local businesses. Many of the tractors on display will be participating in the Bavarian Festival parade on Sunday as well.

Several vendors will be on site for the show including Steiner Tractor Parts. Steiner Tractor Parts will have a booth for display and pre-orders only, no parts inventory will be carried to the show. One of our employees, Elizabeth Gross lives near the show and will be manning the booth. Stop by to say Hi!

Visitors from New Zealand

On Friday, May 29^th, we had the pleasure of hosting several visitors from New Zealand.

These guys have purchased parts from us in the past from our distributor in New Zealand, Andrew Lusty. The guys were in the US to attend several tractor shows and antique festivals. With any luck, they’ll be able to catch a car show or 2 also as they are all aficionados of the Model A Ford Cars. Dave Steiner is also a collector of Model A’s and he was able to meet with them earlier in the afternoon and share stories and some information on parts.

According to Paul’s business card he has some really neat antiques including a 1940 Ford 9N Industrial and a 1928 Model ‘A’ Tractor. Derek sells Model A parts in New Zealand and Malcolm is in the North Island Model A Ford Club. All of these guys were having a lot of fun and seemed to be really enjoying their trip. We were pleased to be able to meet them and spend a few minutes showing them our store and operation.

It was nice to hear some stories about Andy and about New Zealand. Andy Lusty has been selling our parts since the very early days of Steiner Tractor Parts. He was here for a visit quite some time ago, but he hasn’t made it our way recently. It certainly was nice of him to send his friends. We really enjoy opportunities to meet with our customers from afar or nearby. The guys were headed to Midland, Michigan to an Antiques Show in that area for the weekend. I hope they had a nice time. Hopefully they will be able to swing back through on their way to the airport. We can hear all about their travels in the Midwest.
